GRAND CANYON TRUST

The Grand Canyon Trust protects and restores the canyon country of the Colorado Plateau – its spectacular landscapes, flowing rivers, clean air, diversity of plants and animals, and areas of beauty and solitude. THE WILDLANDS PROJECT

This group has one of the best large visions of any organization in the west. Their aim is to establish a protected corridor of land from the Yukon to Yellowstone which wildlife could always use to spread their genes between now isolated populations. GREATER YELLOWSTONE COALITION

Established in 1983 to protect America’s first national park and the 18-million acre ecosystem that Yellowstone anchors. GYC was instrumental in protecting Yellowstone’s streams and rivers from acid runoff when it spearheaded a buyout of the New World gold mine. More recently, the group won funding for public purchase of a critical wildlife corridor at Yellowstone’s northern doorstep and of 50,000 acres across four mountain ranges in the Northern Rockies.
