here "THE BEST OF MOAB" COMBINATION ADVENTURES Experience Moab the right way the first time. Adrift Adventures has teamed up with some of the best in local accommodations to provide the ultimate vacation experience. The best of Moab lets you participate in a different activity everyday while staying in deluxe accommodations at night. "The Best of Moab" DAY 1: Check into your accommodations late afternoon. Enjoy an evening in the moab Canyonlands area. Incredible sunsets available in Arches National Park four miles away. (Dinner on your own). DAY 2: Enjoy a fun filled day of rafting on the Colorado River through the Fisher Towers Section. This 14 mile section of mild to moderate whitewater is fun for all age groups. Lunch is on the river with a spectacular view of the Canyonlands area. Dinner and Cowboy Western show at the Bar M Chuckwagon. DAY 3: Combination jet boat/jeep full day trip. This spectacular trip gives you an opportunity to see the canyons from two views. On the jet boat portion of the trip you'll experience incredible views from the bottom of the canyon. Traveling down the Colorado River to the Canyonlands National Park boundry you'll pass below Dead Horse Point through 500 million years of history in the walls that enclose the river. The jeep portion has just the opposite views of the Colorado Plateau looking down. As you travel to Dead Horse Point your guide will reveal the story behind the layers of geology and history of the area. Lunch with an incredible view. DAY 4: Departing at 8:00 a.m. you'll ride the historic outlaw trail, where Butch Cassidy and his Wild Bunch evaded the law. Explore the Old Spanish Trail or Indian trails with the imprint of the ancient past. Sights that may be seen along the ride include rock art, abandoned mines and historic working ranches. You"ll ride the red rock canyons with Cowboy Adventures. Ride time is 2 hours with time to return to your hotel for cleaning up and check out. Hotel has a pool and continental breakfast. Afternoon of relaxing at poolside or hiking. (Dinner on your own) DAY 2: After a hearty breakfast at the ranch we'll pick you up for a full day of rafting on the Colorado River through Fisher Towers Section. This package allows you to participate in a different activity everyday while staying in 4-star rated accommodations each evening. DAY 1: Please check in with our office at 378 North Main Street in Moab after lunch for directions to Sorrel River Ranch which is located approximately 25 miles from Moab. Upon arrival check into your room and relax near poolside, go hiking and enjoy the historic western ranch. Lunch and dinner are on your own. Desolation canyon offers an unforgettable journey through geologic time. You're journey will begin with a 45 minute scenic flight, taking you directly to the put-in. Then during the next 6 days you'll hike to natural bridges, arches, and other prodigious rock formations delicately carved over millions of years. You'll also visit old cowboy hideouts and ancient archeological sites. Crossing blooming meadows you'll catch views of the thriving wildlife and be awed by the colorful scenery Mother Nature has created. As you explore the silent canyons you'll find seldom seen Indian writings. Amid all of the beauty, Desolation Canyon has over 60 rapids. Make sure you bring twice as much film as you think you are going to need! Kayaks are optional, if you would rather be on a raft where the guide rows that is fun too!
