Cataract Canyon!
(Ultimate whitewater adventure
during 2010's high water season!)
Thank you for choosing ADRIFT ADVENTURES! We are delighted
to be able to share the Canyonlands National Park and Colorado
River through Cataract Canyon with you. Adrift Adventures
takes great pride in our equipment as we feel it's the finest
in the business. Boats are designed for passenger comfort
and safety.
Our
food is known for being among the best on the river! Juicy
steaks, barbecued chicken, fresh salads, and much more will
tantalize your taste buds throughout your stay. Our experienced
and friendly guides are proud to be your hosts and they will
help provide a vacation you'll talk and reminisce about for
years to come.
IF YOU'RE DRIVING TO MOAB, please feel free to stop by the
evening before your trip to pick up your river bags and camera
box. Our office is open until 8:00 pm each evening and is
located at 378 No. Main Street in Moab. Office phone number
is (435) 259-8594. Meeting time the morning of the trip is
7:00 am Rocky Mountain time.
IF YOU'RE FLYING TO MOAB FROM SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH OR GRAND
JUNCTION, COLORADO, please advise our office.
Our one and two day trips average out to appoximately one guide for every
six guests. This trip offers some of the wildest whitewater
during the months of April/May/June and into July. From July
to October, the river calms itself with lower waters; but
by no means is it placid! Please be aware that water levels
flucuate yearly and it is difficult to determine exact water
levels and flows during a departure week. This trip is on
motorized J-Rigs. This specially designed boat allows for
safe and exciting rides at all water levels. Please wear a
warm jacket for early morning departures for spring and fall
trips. Both trips depart from the Potash Ramp which is 17
miles downstream from Moab.

This 120-mile expedition takes you through the renowned
Cataract Canyon in Canyonlands National Park. It offers
some of the wildest, most exciting whitewater in the country
during the months of May, June and early July, when the
spring run-off fills the canyon's watercourse with raging
torrents. From July to October, the river calms itself
with lower water, but is by no means placid. Later summer
offers pristine sandbars and warm water.
Our Cataract expeditions float you past the confluence
of the Green and Colorado rivers through the challenging
rapids of Cataract Canyon in the midst of Canyonlands. |
